The Chelmsford Partnership is required to produce a strategy for the development of the borough over the next 15 years.  This strategy known as 'The Community Plan' is reviewed every three years to ensure that short term targets are being met.  We are in the process of reviewing the Plan and a new, sustainable Community Plan will be launched in April 2008.

The Chelmsford Partnership Vision

"The Borough of Chelmsford will be at the leading edge of economic, social and environmental excellence in the heart of Essex, where people choose to live work and visit because of the ever improving quality of life available to all, now and for future generations."  

Our vision looks ahead to 2021, because we must anticipate future generations' needs and build on existing successes.  The Partnership will continue to revisit the plan every two years to make sure objectives and actions remain relevant and on track
